Representative Network of the Joint Coordination and Monitoring Center (JCMC)
Due to the requirements of the current stage, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, represented by the Joint Coordination and Monitoring Center (JCMC), sought to expand the Joint Center’ work to be an effective partnership in respect of crisis coordination between the Iraqi government and its institutions, on the one hand, and civil society and international partners on the other hand. And the Center works within the Iraqi Government structure and in light of this principal, the Center established a network of Center’s representations that include (32) government entity including all Iraq’s governorates, except Kurdistan Region, and the Ministries and sectoral bodies to be an effective point of contact with the Center for the purpose of coordinating efforts and joint action and are considered keys for coordination in crisis and disaster management at the national level, and the value and effect of the network depend completely on efficiency in coordination, communication and exchange of information and on the general cooperation between the different bodies that comprise the network.
Sub-committees at the governorate level have been formed, which emerged from the Center’s representations, including the sectoral departments at the governorate level, the security authorities, civil society organizations and representatives of the international agencies in the governorate that work continuously with the Center’s representatives in the governorate.
